First battery powered KombiEngine in the AK range. The KMA 80 R is aimed at ambitious private users in home gardens, and is compatible with all current attachments. It’s quiet, efficient and powerful enough to tackle a variety of garden tasks - whether it’s pruning, trimming, mowing, clearing or cutting.
The STIHL KMA 80 R is designed for use in home gardens. It’s powered by a 36-volt lithium-ion battery from the AK range and is quiet, efficient, and powerful to tackle a variety of garden tasks - whether it’s pruning, trimming, mowing, clearing or cutting. Compatible with all Combi attachments (except FSB-KM), attaching and changing tools is easy – all you need to do is insert the Combi attachment into the shaft and tighten to secure it in place.
The loop handle with rubberised grip has a quick-mounting system, meaning you can adjust the handle to your height for an ergonomic working position. The KMA 80 R has a powerful brushless EC motor and speed-adjustment on the control handle, which can be set at 2 speed settings. ECO mode (level 1), for Combi attachments that require less power and full speed mode (level 2), for Combi attachments that need more power, such as the blower.
Work comfortably for longer periods by attaching the STIHL carrying strap.

Battery compartment in engine casing
With this power tool, you can insert the required battery from the STIHL AP-System directly into the engine housing. This increases your mobility and flexibility when working.

Loop handle with barrier bar
The loop handle ensures good manoeuvrability of your power tool, even in confined spaces. The barrier bar protects you by ensuring your feet and legs cannot come too close to blades or mowing heads during work.
Single handed multifunction handle with speed control
The easy adjustment of power tool performance - conveniently adjust the speed of your power tool to the respective work situation which reduces energy consumption at low speeds, and extends the battery runtime. The practical control handle with speed control allows you to make the relevant adjustment without having to change your grip or pause work.
Detachable shaft
For comfort, transport and storage thanks to the detachable shaft, you can quickly dismantle your power tool for easier transport, and also store it in a space-saving manner. You do not need any tools to disassemble the shaft.
Quick-release coupling with clamping screw
Quick assembly of Combi tools thanks to the quick-release coupling, the various Combi Tools for your power tool can be connected and disconnected quickly and without tools.
